Equipment

Please adhere to the following for a successful practice for every swimmer: 

  • Goggles are required for every swimmer. 
  • If any swimmer has hair past their shoulders, it needs to be pulled back in a ponytail or braid. Caps are recommended for all swimmers with hair past their chin. 
  • Team Suits: We encourage parents to purchase a team suit for their swimmer, especailly if they are planning on competing in swim meets. 
  • Rash Guards: For some of our smaller/younger swimmers, we recommend a rash guard to help keep them warm.

The Decatur Gators Team is a member of the Atlanta Swim Association. 

The Atlanta Swim Association (ASA) is a grass roots program that introduces children to the sport of competitive swimming. We are focused on good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most importantly a fun experience for swimmers who are new to the sport.
